Our Jamboree program is specially designed for our players in both the U5 and U6 divisions (U= under, so U5 players are 4 years old / U6 players are 5 years old). All players in the jamboree are taught the elementary rules of soccer through fun and exciting drills like Sharks and Minnows, Clean Your Room, and Bad Coach. At the end of day one, players will have learned the skills necessary to stop, pass, dribble, and throw-in their very own soccer ball, that we give them to keep.
The U5 and U6 jamborees start promptly at 10:30a and 11:45a respectively on Saturdays from mid September til a week before Thanksgiving. We never meet on Sundays. All players and parents are greeted and the days drills are explained. After the drills, the children are divided onto fields and play a 3v3 soccer game.
The jamboree is designed to allow all players to meet and play with all other players in their division. There is no team exclusivity. Parents are encouraged to cheer every player on the field, but are discouraged from coaching from the sideline. Our goal is exercise, and entertainment for the children, as they learn to play soccer. We do not keep W-L records.
